Buffalo Trace Millennium Barrel Auction

Bid on this collectors edition Buffalo Trace Millennium Barrel bottle #165 of only 174 bottles from the Buffalo Trace Millennium Barrel. This may be the last bottle of the extremely limited edition collection which hasn’t been sold in 2011. The rare Bourbon inside this bottle was placed to age in Warehouse V, the world’s only bonded single barrel aging warehouse,  on Dec. 31st, 1999 at the end of the last millennium. It was aged for nearly 12 years and bottled in a beautifully handwritten and individually numbered bottle.This Millennium Barrel bottle has been packaged in a numbered hardwood showcase box and includes a piece of this historic barrel’s charred oak stave and a brochure explaining the significance of this collector’s edition.

Buffalo Trace offer all 174 bottles to charitable organizations to auction off and raise money for their worthwhile causes. This may be your last chance to auction.



This commemorative bottling of the Buffalo Trace Millennium Barrel will not be available in stores.

Blitzen’s Bourbon


2 Parts Basil Hayden’s Bourbon Whiskey
1 Reindeer Spice Syrup (recipe below)
2 Dashes Angostura® Aromatic Bitters
Orange Peel
Instructions for Cocktail
1. In an old-fashioned glass, combine all ingredients and stir 20 times.
2. Garnish with an orange peel.

Reindeer Spice Syrup

3 Apples, peeled and diced
5 Large Cinnamon Sticks
1 cup Walnuts
2 cups Sugar
3 Cups Water

Instructions
1. Place the diced apples into water and boil, then reduce heat to low.
2. Briefly toast cinnamon sticks and walnuts in a saucepan, then transfer into apple mixture.
3. Simmer for 15 minutes.
4. Gently stir in the 2 cups of sugar, thoroughly stirring, and remove from heat.
Once mixture has cooled, strain and press the juice and flavor from the boiled apples back in the mix.
